My Story
I participated in the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer 3 Day in Tampa 2007 and together the walkers raised $5 Million!! This year I will be walking in Atlanta in October 2008. I will again be walking 60 miles with thousands of other men and women to have the opportunity to celebrate breast cancer survivorship, honor those who have lost their lives to the disease, and ultimately have an egnormous impact on awareness and funding for breast cancer research! I am walking in honor of my aunt and grandmother who have both battled breast cancer. My grandmother passed August 20, 2007 after battling for over 10 years. My aunt is a survivor. Just think of how treatment has progressed from just those two generations. The research, the medications, the doctors have all improved drastically for the better. Just imagine, having a world that is breast cancer FREE could be quite possible for "our kids" generation if we keep this fight up!! And that is my mission to keep walking, and fighting to help find a cure! My goal for 2008 is $2200. Please support me in my personal journey in the Breast Cancer 3 Day!
