About Me I am a single 28 year old that lives in Jacksonville, Florida. I have lived here for 2 years now. I was born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA. After graduating from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va, I moved to Chattanooga, TN. A year later, I found my home in Florida... Tampa for two years, and now in Jacksonville. I am a travel agent for American Express and love to experience new things. I came across the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer 3 Day from a commercial on tv. It was so motivating I started crying. It really hit home and made me realize there is something out there that I can do to help others. My aunt and grandmother have both battled breast cancer. My aunt is a survivor and after a long 10 year battle I lost my grandmother last summer. I feel that no one should have to battle for their life that long, going through such painful treatments and medicaitons. Right then and there I made a promise that I would do something to help ease the pain for others. This was my calling. I signed up that day for the Tampa 3 Day. I continue to hold that promise and am ready for the Atlanta 3 Day this year. I will keep walking and raising donations in memory of my grandmother until we find a cure. Last year I raised my donations through car washes and fundraising outside of companies and also through the help of my friends and family. I would also like to expand this year's fundraising to include sponsorship, advertising, networking, and events.
